1924 Calverie Corset "Le Reve" ~ The Dream

Celebrating is a state of mind. A confidence of self, accepting all aspects that make us whole. To watch Isabella Rossellini on screen, you notice that she doesn't care about her wrinkles or her weight; she exudes a confidence that mesmerizes and seduces everyone in the room. Soon her wrinkles become brush strokes on a painting and her curves are the Venus de Milo. Once you accept all aspects of yourself, you will confidently radiate the gorgeous grace and beauty that lies within."What is Bra-ha-ha? Bra-ha-ha is meant to promote women’s health and increase awareness of breast cancer. Proceeds will benefit the Chesapeake Regional Breast Center. Participants created artworks based on their thoughts and feelings about breast cancer, but these artists don’t paint on canvas, they decorate 36C under-wire bras.
The results are poignant and humorous, heart warming and thought provoking. Bra-ha-ha commemorates battles won and lost, honors the heroism of friends and family, and serves as a reminder of the importance of mammograms, self-checks and early detection.
