Wild Nights: Emily Dickinson & Lingerie

Love Romance? Love Poetry? Emily Dickinson might just be the author for you on this day.

A life long romantic who never married, Emily was the eccentric singleton who only wore white and threw scribbled poems down from her upstairs window to the curious towns folk below.

In honor of Emily's pure passion and penchant for wearing white lace, I'm highlighting one of my favorite white lace bras. When I look at this Eberjey India Lace Bralette, it's easy to imagine Emily at her window, peeking through the sheer curtains at her neighbors below, who just wanted a quick look at the unconventional, reclusive poetess.

Whether you're in a relationship or single this Valentine's Day, anyone can appreciate Emily's connection with love and passion.

Wild Nights -- Wild Nights!
Were I with thee
Wild Nights should be
Our luxury!

Futile -- the Winds --
To a Heart in port --
Done with the Compass --
Done with the Chart!
Rowing in Eden --
Ah, the Sea!
Might I but moor -- Tonight --
in Thee!

~ Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)
