Lingerista Lifestyle: Cozy Chemises & Chocolate Peppermint Martinis

"The Chemise"...a staple in any boudoir. Personally, if I didn't have restraint, then I could have done a Carrie Bradshaw with chemises instead of shoes. With the holidays being here, and running around everywhere, slipping into a chemise at the end of the day is a great way to relax.

But which chemise to choose?

While at The Americana at Brand in Glendale, I recently discovered this wonderful store called Peter Alexander that features cozy bedtime wear that you can also wear out on the town. The line is soft, supple and fashionable and the customer service at the store is delightful! I don't hesitate to say that the staff truly enjoys working there and it's infectious!

A couple pieces from the gem of a store are above. Both chemises (above images) are from Peter Alexander's African Dream Collection. I'm in love with the Old World Bow Slinky (image top left) and bought it for myself. It retails for $69. Another favorite, the Top Draw Vintage Nightie also retails for $69. Both of these items are soft and cozy to the touch. What is so great about these chemises is their versatility; you can wear them to bed or out! For more information on these fabulous jammies or where you can purchase them, click on Peter Alexander.

How am I going to enjoy the chemises that I purchased at Peter Alexander this holiday season? I plan on nuzzling up by the fire, grabbing a book and drinking a chocolate peppermint martini. Sound good?

If so, here is the recipe for the CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT MARTINI:

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 1/2 fluid ounces chilled vodka
  • 1/2 fluid ounce chilled peppermint schnapps
  • 1/2 fluid ounce chilled white Creme de Cacao
  • 2 Junior mints
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix cold liquor together and shake with ice
  2. Strain into a martini glass
  3. Drop 2 Junior Mints into bottom of glass

Enjoy!

However you choose to relax this holiday season, be sure to Celebrate Your Inner Eve!
